uMind Tutor

Aimy, the Virtual Tutor, is an AI-enhanced technology that behaves like a virtual instructor. She appears on the learner interface as a virtual character (avatar) capable of adapting commentaries, tone of voice and facial expressions in response to each learner. In the forefront, she assists and prompts the learner, corrects skill gaps and gently probes and reassures while “behind the scenes”, she can build and modify the learning path in real-time, and generate different pedagogical strategies according to the learner’s needs.

Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS)

Our complex learning environments can also be supported by proprietary Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS) technology which combines eLearning and Artificial Intelligence, a branch of science which deals with helping machines find solutions to complex problems in a more human-like fashion. This generally involves borrowing characteristics from human intelligence, and applying them as algorithms in a computer-friendly way.

A fundamental tenet of this design is that one size does not fit all as the learning process varies considerably from learner to learner. Hence, an ITS will behave like a real teacher would. It will:

Deploy training according to each learner’s needs (adaptive learning path)
Prompt and motivate the learner throughout his learning path
